Welcome to 1A!

We are 1 of 3 year 1 classes at Think International School in Hong Kong. We come from all over the world and from all different parts of Hong Kong.

Class Teacher

Our class teacher is Ms Alison. Miss Alison comes from Australia and only recently moved to Hong Kong in 2016. She previously taught as an English, EAL and history secondary teacher back in Australia after completing a double bachelor degree in Arts and Teaching at Deakin University, Melbourne. Alison also has a qualification for teaching English to speakers of other languages (CELTA) from Cambridge English. She is passionate about education and in her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, travel and SCUBA divnig.

Teaching Assistant

Our teaching assistant is Ms Sylvia. Ms Sylvia came to Hong Kong in with her husband 2012 from Bangladesh. She worked as a class teacher in Bangladesh after completing a Masters Degree in English from the University of Chittagong. Ms Sylvia works with all year one classes at Think International. Having Ms Sylvia in our classroom allows us both to work closer with the students and to ensure we are catering to their needs.

Chinese Teacher

Our Chinese teacher is Ms Belle. Ms Belle has been working in education for over 4 years in Hong Kong. Belle moved to Hong Kong from China after completing a bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Xi'an International Studies University, China. Since moving to Hong Kong, Ms Belle has completed a master's degree in Chinese Linguistics and Language Acquisition from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and acquired a PGDE frpm the Education University of Hong Kong. In her spare time, she enhoys reading, hiking and playing pool.

PE Teacher

Our PE teacher is Ms Gemma. Ms Gemma comes from the Lake District in England. She attended Liverpool John Moores University and gained a B.A.Hons Degree in Physical Education, Sport and Dance (QTS). Since graduating in 2012, Ms Gemma worked at a secondary school in England for two years and at an international school in Kuwait for 18 months. She has recently arrived in Hong Kong in 2016.

Art Teacher

Our visual arts teacher is Ms Elvina. Ms Elvina got her first degree in Graphic Design and she has been teaching for over ten years. She started to work in Think International School after completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. Ms Elvina works with most of the primary classes. She tries to use her specialist knowledge to promote children's balanced development.

Music Teacher

Our music teacher is Mr John. Mr John grew up and began his teaching career in Canada. For the last 13 years he has worked internationally in Switzerland, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. He is a published and practicing writer and a singer/songwriter, and enjoys the ability to bring outside passions into school. Mr John is also Think International School's PYP coordinator and hopes to instill a sense of international mindedness to all aspetcs of the school.

Library Teacher

Our library teacher is Ms Fritzie. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Library Science. She has gained valuable experience both as a teacher and librarian in the Philippines. Before joining Think, she has worked as a Primary librarian in 2 International Schools in Bangkok for the past 8 years. Aside from organising library resources, she is dedicated to share a fun learning experience with the students in the library.
